DIY: Best Homemade Exfoliating Face Scrubs with Fruits

There are tons of recipes out there to make yourself some face scrubs right at home. I’m definitely gonna try some of these easy DIY face exfoliating scrubs because my house never runs out of fruits! My son loves bananas and fruit smoothies, so the ingredients are easy to find at home. We don’t use sugar that much, only honey, but it’s nice to find some healthy way to use sugar without gaining weight. Probably the first rule we need to apply with these treatments is “TRY and don’t eat them!”, you can lick your fingers or lips if by “mistake” you get them in the mix, but my advice is to make a separate smoothie, and leave the scrub on your skin.

Make sure you have all the ingredients before starting the recipe, or else you might forget all about it and start eating what you have at hand, before getting the ones you are missing. Now, jokes aside, let’s check out below some amazing homemade face scrubs made with fruits – face scrubs that will make your skin healthier, clearer and help you feel and look flawless!

Papaya Mix Face Scrub #1

1 Papaya – ripe
50 g ground rice
50 g sea salt
50 g honey
100 g milk or curd

Mix these ingredients together, except for the milk/curd, you’ll use that to rub this mixture off, after 15 minutes. It can be used on oily skin and your body too. Make sure you moisturize your face after using it.

Papaya Face Scrub #2

1 spoon papaya – raw
1/2 teaspoon almond powder – coarsely ground
1/2 teaspoon orange peel powder – coarsely ground
1/2 teaspoon barley powder – coarsely ground

Again, mix all of them together, and I mean all of them this time! If you have a loofah, you can use it to put this mix on your face and scrub, it will help removing dead skin cells. This mix it will give your face a nice glow and it will also help with blood circulation, to keep those cheeks pink and your tone fresh.

Papaya Face Scrub #3

1/2 cup Papaya – ripe
1/2 cup rice powder
1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice

Make sure you mix it well before you massage the skin with it. This is a scrub for oily skin, easy to use, and easy to make.

Banana Mix Face Scrub #1

2 bananas – mashed
2 spoons oats – rolled
1 spoon honey
1 spoon milk

Mix this exfoliating scrub well and put it on your face to get a smooth and silky skin.

Banana Mix Face Scrub #2

1 mashed banana
1 spoon honey
1 spoon lime juice

Mix these ingredients and apply the mix on your face and let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse it with hot water. The acidity of the lime reduces the oily skin and clears your pores. You can even taste it, but it’s best to let it do its job on your skin.

Strawberry Mix Face Scrub #1

5 strawberry – mashed
2 teaspoon lime juice

You can use any citrus juice, really, it’s the acidity that helps, and you can replace strawberries with blueberries as well. Mix them well and smudge it on your face and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes. You can wash it off with cold water.

Strawberry Mix Face Scrub #2

1/4 cup fresh strawberries
1/4th cup sour cream/yogurt

Put them in a blender until you get a thick mixture. Put the paste on your face, except eyes and lips and let it sit for 15 minutes, then wash it off. This is good for oily skin, you’ll feel your face reinvigorated, and if used periodically, it could also fix dark circles.

Strawberry Mix Face Scrub #3

6 Fresh strawberries
1 spoon honey
1 spoon brown sugar
1 spoon lime juice (or any other citric)

You’ll need to blend them together really well, until you get a paste you can apply on your face. After 10 minutes you can clean your face using a warm wet cloth. This mask will make your face glow, but not the oily glow some of us are used to. If you put it on every 3-4 days, you’ll get great results.

So, there you have them! A bunch of amazing, easy to make face scrubs that will do wonders to your skin. Enjoy them!
