If you’re on a tight budget, but you still want a standing desk, then the one made by Stand Up Desk Store is the right choice for you! And this one has the advantage of being mobile thanks to the large wheels it comes equipped with.
It is a pretty basic standing desk, one that doesn’t offer a lot of storage space, but does its job at offering you the possibility to work standing up – and this is what matters, after all. It comes with two shelves – one that’s lower, for the keyboard, and a higher one for the monitor. The height of these shelves adjusts at 1″ increments from the minimum at 34.2″ for the monitor shelf up to 46.2 inches.
The monitor still seems to stand relatively low, so your head will be tilted downwards, but it is comfortable if you don’t use it for a long time. Unfortunately, it’s biggest problem is, in my opinion, the fact that you have to manually unscrew and screw back in the blots in order to adjust the height: although this is not a difficult process, it’s not very fun either as it can’t normally be done with your computer on the desk. But despite its cons, it has a really low starting price, it’s very durable and stable and it’s perfect if you don’t really need to switch from standing to sitting height constantly.

ApexDesk Electric Adjustable Standing Desk
The thing you have to love about an electric standing desk is that all you have to do to switch it from sitting to standing position is to push a button. In this case, the motor is powerful yet silent and has no problem lifting the top even with two monitors on it and a few other regular items as well.
Apart from the ease of use, this one does seem to have it all: it is fairly priced, it is easy to use and extremely stable: it doesn’t wobble at all, even in standing position. You will be pleasantly surprised with this ApexDesk product!
It also offers a lot of storage space – which I always appreciate. It has a length of 70.9 inches and a width of 33 inches, with the narrow part standing at around 30 inches. So indeed a lot of space for storage or multiple monitors. I have two things to complain about though: although it goes up to 50-inch and is definitely higher than the recommended desk above, it’s still a bit on the low side, so your head will tilt down a bit for the monitor. It also doesn’t have a special, lower shelf for the keyboard, which might take some while to get used to and in some case could become uncomfortable after prolonged usage. But all in all, this is a surprisingly good standing desk that’s worth all the money.

Rise Up Adjustable Height Electric Standing Desk
This one is, by far, my favorite adjustable-height desk! It’s absolutely awesome and the price still remains decent if we compare it with the regular standing desks that go up to $2,000. And it still offers a great quality in return and everything you can wish for from a standing desk.
Not only that it is electrical, being ready to go up or down with the push of a button, but it also has four memory presets: just set the height for when you are standing, then the height for when you are sitting and switch from one to another by simply pressing a button!
And that’s not all! It is made of real bamboo and looks absolutely amazing! It goes up to 48-inches, so that’s still a bit low in my book, but it has a special shelf for the keyboard and mouse.
It is sturdy, it doesn’t wobble, it offers a lot of storage space and it is absolutely amazing. No complaints here!

It’s time to switch to desk conversion options for the next two recommendations! And we’re starting with the Halter ED-600 which is, at the moment of writing this article, the cheapest option for converting your existing desk into a standing one. Going for a conversion option is, in my opinion, the best idea for most people who already have a desk they love and prefer the extra storage that traditional desks usually offer.
One of its main advantages is that it comes already assembled, so all you have to do it so place it on your desk, squeeze the handles and it will stand up in seconds. It seems to work similarly to office chair height adjusters, which is really nice.
It offers a maximum extra height of 16.14 inches – which is just enough to turn your traditional desk into a standing one. It looks great and is of great quality. The only complaint I can find if I really want to find one is that the keyboard platform is a bit too small and things get pretty tight with the keyboard and mouse on it. There’s no extra room for your arms to rest, but if that’s not a problem for you – then there are no problems with this product!

And I am not the only one to say so: this is an extremely popular choice on Amazon, for example, where it has an amazing rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 from over 1,100 reviews! In other words, very few people who got this standing desk option had anything to complain about.
Apart from the fact that it looks absolutely beautiful, it can do some heavy lifting relatively fast (it takes a few seconds to lift a maximum of 35 lbs to maximum height) and offers enough space on the keyboard platform not to complain. It also has 11 positions for height so you can easily find the right one for you. It’s perfect, durable and sturdy. My all time favorite and my highest recommended product on this list.
