The Windows Phones might be the late guests to the party and the least popular option compared to other mobile devices – also for developers, but Microsoft is still a huge company that doesn’t give up easily and as a proof, the year 2014 has seen an amazing increase in popularity of the various Windows Phones available on the market, so you might just want to jump on the bandwagon and catch a great deal while these amazing phones are still flying under the radar.

Nokia Lumia 930
Prepare to see a lot of Nokia Lumias (or Microsoft Lumias, to keep up with the latest changes) on this list – but all of them being great products. The Lumia 930, for example, benefits from all the advantages of the Windows Phone 8.1, but lacks in what we consider a major element: expandable storage, hence its low position on our list. However, with the great semi-metal design and great set of features, it remains a good choice for those looking for a quality Windows Phone. Just make sure that you check out our other recommendations before you look more into this particular model here.
Nokia Lumia 1520
If size matters to you, then you should definitely go for the Lumia 1520: with a 6.0″ display and 1920×1080 supported resolution, this is the biggest phone on our list and my personal favorite. In terms of hardware, it could teach a good lesson to other devices with different OS: it has a 20MP rear camera, 2GBs of RAM and 32 GB of internal NAND, plus support for an additional 64 GB through microSD if you want even more space, all powered up by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. In other words, a real beast. Big, beautiful, really amazing. Check it out here for pricing.
HTC One M8
A not-so-shy entry between all the Lumias, the HTC One M8 is considered by many the flagship Windows Phone so far. Elegant and simple in terms of design, great in terms of hardware, this phone will surely remain a solid option for years if you decide to purchase it (just like all the models recommended here, actually). It has a 5.0″ display and “just” a 5MP camera, but also a great 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor backed up by 2GB of RAM and a minimum of 16GB (with 32GB models available) of storage space which can be increased with a micro SD card.
As a bonus, all those who purchase this model by Juanuary 31st, 2015 (at the moment of writing – things could change) will also receive the super amazing dot view case which allows Cortana integration through the case that’s pictured in the image above. Check it out here and make sure to make your move fast!
Nokia Lumia 830
If you have a limited budget and you just don’t want to jump straight into the deepest part of the Windows Phone pool, we believe that the Lumia 830 is the perfect phone for you. Even though not as powerful as the other models present on this list (it only has a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor), the Nokia Lumia 830 has some decent stats and runs like a charm: 5.0″ display, 10MP camera and the storage capacity can be upgraded all the way to 128GB. It’s also light and nice looking and, as I said, a great choice as a mid-range Windows Phone device. Click here to check it out for some great deals!
So these would be for now our choices of the best Windows Phones out there. Our suggestion? Try one! You’ll be surprised to see how good they actually are!
