Long eyelashes have always been the thing when it comes to feminine beauty and, fortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any trend making it otherwise anytime soon.
However, not all ladies have been blessed with beautiful, natural long lashes. Actually, most of us haven’t been rewarded with those Hollywood diva lashes – and that’s OK. It’s OK even though the curlers and mascara look more like medieval torture devices than actual beauty products.
But worry nt – you don’t have to endure the torments of hell to get your beautiful long lashes at home: we have 9 tips for you on how to do it, by yourself, from the comfort of your home, and really improve your overall looks and draw the much needed attention to your eyes!
1. Lash Accelerators work
Yes, you might have heard friends who know somebody who knows somebody else who had no luck with the mascara accelerators, but the truth is that they actually work!
Check out a cheap Lash Accelerator mascara from Rimmel here (affiliate link) and you’ll be amazed to see your lashes really grow in size in one month maximum. Definitely worth a try and all that trouble!
2. Brush your lashes!
This sounds crazy, but it does work and actually helps your lashes grow, but especially look longer and firmer. Use a soft brush and comb your lashes daily to see the best results.
Alternately, you can use this special lash/brow groomer (affiliate link) to do the work, if you don’t have a small soft brush to use (or you want something professionally made for it).
3. Use Lengthening Mascara
If you don’t really have the time to wait for the natural products and techniques to work, you can cheat every now and then with some Lengthening Mascara.
Every girl has it – and if you don’t, you should definitely buy one! You can find them everywhere and the general rule of thumb here is that the more expensive the product is, the better the results and probably safer to use too.
Just have in mind that we’re talking here about temporary results, not permanent ones! But sometimes – or actually most times – that’s all that we need.
4. Vitamin E lotion
It is said that vitamin E helps your eyelashes grow and it certainly doesn’t hurt to try. Don’t add too much, though: your lashes need just a little for that extra boost!
5. Biotin (vitamin B) supplements
You will really take things to the next level by also taking Biotin (vitamin B) supplements. If you’re not a fan of supplements, having a balanced diet will also give your body the vitamin B it needs and as a result, you will have healthier, longer eyelashes!
6. Coconut oil
Try applying some coconut oil or butter (make sure it is RAW) on your eyelashes to help them look fuller and gain the much-needed extra length.
Just don’t apply too much and carefully wash away any excess oil after 5 minutes (so don’t apply it overnight).
7. Don’t pull your lashes!
This is pretty self-explanatory, but still we can’t help it sometimes. In order to reduce pulling your lashes and destroying all your hard work, but some high quality Mascara and gently remove all your make-up when needed.
8. Take proper care of your lashes!
Since we’re talking about cleaning and make-up removal, don’t forget that proper hygiene helps a lot! Wash your eyes daily or multiple times per day and make sure you take proper care of your lashes.
This means that keeping the same mascara for a couple of days is a big no no!
9. Eyelash Serum
New on the market, this eyelash serum is promoted as the “wonder maker” for your eye lashes and I’d certainly recommend you give it a try.
Choose a high quality product (I would personally recommend this Lash Care Essence – affiliate link) and use it, as instructed, for 30 days to see the results!
Using our recommended methods, you will certainly – and easily get longer, lusher eye lashes and impress everybody around you. The best part? It’s not expensive and the results are impressive!
