11 Best TV Shows Like Squid Game [You’ll Love Them ALL!]

Squid Game took the world by storm and everybody loved to watch it, but it has one big problem: there are just 9 episodes to watch. This, for any respectable binge-watcher is almost nothing.

So until a new season is released (if this will ever happen), we can still fill in our Squid Game hunger with other TV shows that are very similar in concept. And even if the shows recommended below don’t follow the exact same recipe, I am sure you will absolutely love them.

I already finished binge-watching most of them (some before Squid Game was even released) and they’re definitely worth trying.

So if you’re looking for a show to binge watch, here’s a list of the best TV shows like Squid Games. You can’t go wrong with any of these choices and they’re all available on major streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.

1: Reality Z

A Brazilian TV show, it is a hidden gem that doesn’t get as much attention as it should, in my opinion. Without spoiling the plot with my description, I can tell you that it is about a Reality TV show that turns into something completely unexpected following a similarly unexpected event.

Yes, I know it’s vague… but trust me on this one – it’s really good! This show is also available on Netflix.

2: As the Gods Will

As the Gods Will is a TV show about high school students who are forced to play a game where they must avoid death and the many traps set in their way. The show features, like Squid Games, a series of humorous and at times gruesome deaths.

3: 3%

3% is a TV show that was released in 2016 and it focuses on a dystopian future where everyone lives in an unsettling world. Those who want to leave must pass a series of challenges, which is difficult but achievable for the characters on this show.

I personally consider this more intense and better made when compared to Squid Game. Plus, there are already a few seasons to watch – perfect for the binge watchers out there!

4. Alice in Borderland

Also a Korean TV series, Alice in Borderland is set in a dystopian future where a bunch of people play all sort of games with the only goal of collecting enough cards to make it out alive.

With plot twists and really good acting – as well as “remember to breather” moments, this show is a must watch if you enjoyed Squid Game!

5: Trailer Park Boys

Trailer Park Boys was released in the 2000s and focuses on a group of people living in poverty while trying to get rich quick. Each episode features drugs and alcohol, crass language and crude humor and even though it’s different in concept, I am sure you’ll enjoy watching it if you liked Squid Game.

6: Trailer Park Boys Out Of The Park USA

Trailer Park Boys Out Of The Park USA is a spin-off of Trailer Park Boys, a mini-series that follows the main characters during their trip through America.

It follows the gang on their adventures across America, including but not limited to gambling, drinking, stealing and dealing with gangs – same thing as in the original series, but different settings.

7: Stranger Things

Stranger Things became a huge hit when it first came out in 2016. Set in the 80s, it focuses on a small town and it’s characters who are trying to figure out what happened when a boy mysteriously goes missing.

This is probably one of those TV shows you already watched – but even if you did, there’s nothing stopping you from watching it again!

8: Love, Death & Robots

Love, Death & Robots is an animated anthology series that was released in 2019 and features different stories about emotions and human nature. Some tales may be strange but they’re guaranteed to be interesting and worth checking out.

9: Santa Clarita Diet

Santa Clarita Diet is a sitcom that was released in 2017 and features Sheila, a real estate agent who becomes a zombie after she dies. Her husband Joel tries to deal with the changes and together they embark on an unusual journey of self-discovery.

10: Galaxy Express 999

A sci-fi TV show, it’s about a young boy who dies and wants to be reborn on another planet called Eden. To get there, he must join the famous space train known as “Galaxy Express 999”. The characters of this anime are all interesting and engaging enough to make you want to follow their journey.

11: Black Mirror

Black Mirror is a show that was released in 2011 and it focuses on modern technology, how it affects people and the horror of new possibilities. Each episode is its own story so you don’t have to watch it through if you don’t want to. But I am sure you will!

Wrapping up

Each of these shows has something different to offer so it’s worth checking out whether you want zombies or robots in your fictional world (or just plain ol’ humans).

If there are any other TV Shows like Squid Games that should be added here, let us know! The last thing we’d recommend is binge watching them all at once… because who knows what might happen?
