Although this is the cheapest product on our list, it is by far my favorite – and my son’s favorite as well! He grew up using it and we were extremely happy with it.
In our case, most of the swim rings or swim floats we have tried didn’t make him feel comfortable and he did not enjoy spending time in the water. For some reason, most of the straps that these baby swim rings have felt uncomfortable to him – but he had no complaints about these.
One of the reasons why he liked these so much is the fact that the Intex My Baby Float has some smooth and comfortable seat straps that keep the toddler in a natural position, while also making sure they don’t fall down through the ring.
As soon as my little boy tried it, he absolutely loved it and it was the first time he actually enjoyed spending time in the water. It made us so happy!

Micord Ride-ons Swim Ring Float
I wasn’t really confident about this one at first since it has a very cheap look with that plastic seeming very fragile. Surprisingly or not, it is actually a very comfortable and safe swim ring for toddlers.
It seems that other people who have tried it have the same feelings, even though some reviewers had some concerns that it might flip over, although it never happened. In my opinion, it is wide enough to be considered very safe. Plus, you’re always close to your kid no matter what!
This one doesn’t come with straps for holding the toddler – but a full diaper or sleeve, whatever you want to call it. This sleeve is very safe and also comfortable, although I still think that the soft straps of the swim ring recommended above is even more comfortable.
It’s worth mentioning that this product is not recommended for kids under 1, but to make up for it, the manufacturers say that kids up to the age of 3 can use it.

Fred’s Swim Academy SwimTrainer Classic
If you want something that looks like a classic swim ring for babies and you don’t mind it not having the straps or sleeve at the bottom like the previous two have, the SwimTrainer Classic is a great choice for you.
I would personally consider it better suited for older children, but the manufacturer says they are great from 3 months up to 4 years.
It has a design that wraps around your kid’s body and adjusts based on their size and it also has an extra clip-fastened white security item that the kids lay on, which also keeps them above water.
I am used with the classic straps and my kid enjoyed that, but it seems that this system works without a problem and it might actually be a perfect choice for kids who don’t like the straps or sleeve on their swim ring.
It will also help them get into position to learn how to swim, which is an added bonus. But I personally still believe that you should only use this with toddlers older than 12 months.

Swimava G-2 Body Ring
Another different system, one that’s similar to the classic swim rings that some of us older folks grew up using.
This one has two inflatable chambers for increased safety and easily fits your toddler’s chest size, keeping them above water. The extra strap at the back makes sure that the body ring won’t open, so it adds an extra layer of safety
Kids seem to love this one as it is made of a really smooth material that doesn’t bother them, but I would still prefer to go the extra safe route and get a swim ring with the straps or a sleeve below.
But if you want to get one mainly for bath time or if your kid doesn’t like the straps, this one still works as it clings pretty tight around their body, making it unlikely for them to fall down thorough it.
But, just as it is the case with all the previous recommended models, make sure that you always keep an eye on your baby and never leave them unattended, not even for a few seconds!
